# Fees & Execution

I explain what fees you may see, what they mean, and how execution happens on-chain.

Every swap on my swap aggregator, [InoSwap](https://inoswap.org/), involves blockchain costs and liquidity provider fees. Before you confirm a transaction, I display the relevant details so you understand exactly what you are approving.

Transparency is part of the optimisation process.

## Supporting the Ecosystem

A portion of the fees generated through InoSwap contributes to the continued development and evolution of the platform.

These fees also support the broader ecosystem, including [Xitcoin ($XTC)](https://xitcoin.org/) and [InoAi (INO)](https://inoai.org/) tokens, aligning platform growth with token utility and long-term infrastructure development.

Execution strengthens infrastructure.\
Infrastructure strengthens the ecosystem.

## Types of Fees

1. **Network Fees (Gas)**

Network fees are paid directly to the blockchain to process and confirm your transaction. These fees depend on current network conditions and are not controlled by InoSwap.

Gas costs vary based on:

* network congestion
* transaction complexity
* blockchain parameters

2. **Liquidity Provider Fees**

Liquidity provider fees are charged by the pools that execute your swap. These fees compensate liquidity providers for supplying assets to decentralised markets. The exact fee depends on the specific pool used in the routing path.

**Routing Impact:** some swaps execute through a single pool, while others may use multi-step or multi-pool routing.

When multiple liquidity sources are involved, this can influence:

* total output received
* cumulative pool fees
* overall execution efficiency

I calculate routes based on optimisation logic, but the final result always reflects live market conditions.

3. <mark style="color:$danger;">**InoSwap platform fee**</mark>

<mark style="color:$danger;">In addition to network and liquidity provider fees, InoSwap</mark> <mark style="color:$danger;"></mark><mark style="color:$danger;">**apply a platform fee?**</mark> <mark style="color:$danger;"></mark><mark style="color:$danger;">This fee supports infrastructure development, ecosystem growth, and continued optimisation of the routing engine.</mark>

## Execution Flow

Once you confirm a swap:

1. I prepare the transaction payload.
2. You review the details in the interface.
3. You sign the transaction in your wallet.
4. The swap executes via decentralised smart contracts on-chain.

{% hint style="info" %}
InoSwap does not custody funds and cannot execute transactions without your approval.
